Who Is The Waspy Redhead Anyway?
Hi there Internet!
I’m Elizabeth, also known as The Waspy Redhead. I’m a twenty something Texas gal with a penchant for all things foodie. I’m a passionate home cook and baker, and this site is where I share in my successes and mishaps in the kitchen.
In the last few years I’ve really gotten into baking. I grew up in the kitchen, raised by two amazing cooks (love you Mom & Dad). But it wasn’t until after college that I picked up cooking and baking as a hobby in earnest.
The Food:
The majority of the content you’ll find here is food related. Either recipe posts, or photos of exciting things I’ve eaten out and about. When I post a recipe from a website, cookbook or blog I attribute the source, but many of the recipes on this blog are family favorites.
The Photos:
Unless otherwise noted, all photos on this site are property of The Waspy Redhead. My primary equipment includes a Canon 60D Canon Rebel T1i with a 50mm 1.8 lens, a Canon powershot, and occasionally my iPhone 4.
I’m so glad you stopped by to read a little more about me!
Best,
Waspy!

Thanks for the kind words Grace, glad you like the blog!
precious precious precious! J’adore the Waspy Redhead!
This is fantastic Elizabeth! Didn’t know you did this, really wonderful! I’ll be sure to tune it, I just subscribed!
Hi there! Found your blog via Tasty Kitchen (we’re ‘friends’ there – I’m speckjoy) and I just thought I’d stop in to say hey.
Love your about page and look forward to seeing some of your recipes!
Hey!! I’m a forty-something dude. I’m going to get up and watch the royal wedding. Don’t freaking tell my friends! I’m going with “no” on the Pomegranate thing (but I will make that for my wife sometime). What is a totally anglophile coffee drink to enjoy on the glorious morning as Great Kate marries Prince Dork Jr.?
You can’t go wrong with a strong cup of coffee with a shot of whiskey!
Love the royal wedding party and cannot wait to try some recipes! Love the new look as well… I for sure need some tabs. How is the world do you figure this stuff out?
Kate – I’m not nearly clever enough to figure out the design stuff myself, I worked with a freelance designer and she was great! You can see her work if you click the “Clever Daisies” link at the bottom.
Still remember you whipping up Ghirardelli chocolate chip pancakes for snacks in HS for all of us girls — Always knew you were destined for baking greatness!
