Could you please send a dump truck to pick this up?
Seriously, we are not amused.
You see, when you put out flyers indicating that next week is bulk trash pick up (TWO WEEKS AGO) the residents of Ashby Place took you seriously.

When we decided to move into the area, we were 100% aware that it was a neighborhood in transition. We love the quirky character of the Tobin Hill neighborhood, and we are proud to be part of the gentrification of the River North district.
We couldn’t be more proud of our 1928 craftsman field stone cottage.

If you were to drive down our street today, you would be greeted by pile after pile of junk and brush. Completely marring the appearance of our sweet little block.

We don’t get bent out of shape easily… but we don’t think it’s acceptable to treat this historic neighborhood with such disregard. I’m fairly certain that if we lived just a mile or so away in Olmos Park or Monte Vista, you wouldn’t have ignored our calls to 311.
Pretty please get it together and pick up the trash.
Respectfully,
The Waspy Redhead and Beau.

Ugh, I hate the weeks leading up to Bulk Pickup. Hang in there! It took them two weeks to pick up after we were supposed to have stuff on the curb. So we had a month of looking at people’s junk.
Councilwoman Cisneros has a FB page. Let her know about this. I’m sure she’d respond quickly.
