Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted… I’ve had a lot going on.
Here are some highlights of what I’ve been up to.
Steve made me the best meal ever of saffron risotto and chicken piccata…
I experimented with lower call desserts like this grapefruit granita…
I went to Chicago for a few days for a conference for work. So cold…
I got to see snow for the firs time in YEARS! (yes there was snow on the ground in Santa Fe, but I didn’t get to see it falling out of the sky)…
In chicago I lost my laptop charger, which I why I haven’t been able to update you fine people. But a new one arrived in the mail Friday, so I’m back in the blogging business.
I made gold medal cookies in celebration of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics (they were actually gold, I used metallic luster dust in the icing, but it didn’t come through in the pictures for some reason). I’ve been glued to the TV all day everyday since the opening ceremonies. If you know me, you know what an olympics fanatic I am.
And now it’s time to announce the winner of the giveaway that I would have posted ages ago if my poor sad laptop had any juice in it….
Congratulations to my dear blogger friend Danica aka Chic Runner who was selected as the winner of the Everyday Food: Great Food Fast Cookbook by a random number generator.
Thanks to everyone who entered and either joined me on Goodreads or shared their favorite cookbook here on the blog. Yall made some great recommendations. This was a fun contest, and I think I’ll try to do cookbook giveaways more often.
