Pizza & Pasta & Cookies Oh My! June In Food Photos

I’m going to borrow some inspiration from my lovely friend, Natalie, and offer a quick recap of the month based on the photos on my iPhone. The quality of these photos isn’t great – but hey, it’s an iPhone. I’ve gotten a little lazy about photography on the blog as of late – mostly because I’ve been frustrated with my equipment. I’m happy to report that I just purchased my first digital SLR camera, so hopefully quality photos will be back soon!

In the beginning of the month I headed to a great San Antonio joint, Fralo’s for pizza, wine and lovely weather. Fralo’s is a BYOB establishment, which is amazing. Though I perhaps had a bit too much to drink.

My beautiful friends Amanda & Marissa toasting our pesto chicken pizza. Yum.

The same weekend as my Fralo’s outing I joined my good friends Stephanie & Brad for dinner at their house. I hadn’t cooked for them in a while, so I offered to cook. This spinach fettuccini with creamy walnut sauce was a hit. It’s from Everyday Food Fresh Flavors Fast and I’ll definitely be making it again. I’ll take some better pictures and then share the recipe with you guys. you’ll flip over how easy it is.

I’ve been on a chocolate chip cookie baking craze lately – this was my first batch of the month. Very tasty… but too thin and crispy for my liking. I’m on a quest for the perfect cookie, and I’ll talk more about that soon.

One of my favorite meals when dining out is the Salad a la George from El Jarro de Arturo. My family has been eating here at least once a week for like 15 years. I think I’ve had everything on the menu at El Jarro at least twice, but the Salad a la George is always a favorite. Not pictured on this salad is the delicious sliced mango – scarfed it down prior to taking a picture.

Cookie attempt number 3 or 4 – I’ve lost track. I’m getting closer to the desired result, but not there yet. Stay tuned for yummy cookie goodness readers!

From one Salad A La George lover to another, we need to find their vinagrette recipe! I had this with one beef anticucho last week which was a perfect summer dinner.

I can’t wait for your cookie recipe! I’m also looking for the perfect version, but I haven’t had the patience to test them like you!
