Happy Friday! It has been far too long since I posted a “this Friday I fancy” entry, and I am so delighted to share this one with you today.
It’s restaurant week here in San Antonio, and I have been eating out for both lunch and dinner almost every night. I’ve shared some great meals with some great friends. I even had a 3 course lunch the ended with a nutella torte. I experienced my first nutellacoma, but it was well worth it. I thought that this lunch was the best possible lunch I could imagine…. but then I read my darling cousin Sarah’s blog….
I’ve mentioned my charming cousin Sarah several times on the blog before, and shared photos and menus from her chic DC wedding last fall.
After marrying Jean, Sarah has taken up residence full time in Switzerland. Her ex-pat blog, Lavender & Onions is one of the most cherished items in my RSS reader. I love keeping up with her travels and hearing about the differences in her life as a newlywed American lady living abroad.
This week’s entry about a spontaneous trip to Italy was almost too much for my little hear to handle. Oh the jealousy. They decided they were hungry for pizza, so they just hopped in the car and headed to Italy. Just as casually as if I decided to drive up to Austin. I can’t even imagine. But I do know that I’m looking forward to seeing them when I head to Europe this summer. They don’t so much know that I’m coming. But this should serve as warning enough, don’t you think?
Aimez-vous cousin Sarah! {Did bablefish butcher that?}

Je t’aime is more appropriate for a close family member. We are driving to New Braunfels for barbeque today. Does that make you jealous too?
Did I say that I loved her romantically? Does one say Je T’aime Sarah, or Sarah Je T’aime?
